Inventory Genius isn't another tool built in a vacuum by people who've never packed an order or chased a late shipment. It was born inside a real e-commerce business, solving real problems, every single day.
Damien Green, co-founder of brands.co.nz, has been running e-commerce for over a decade. After years of juggling spreadsheets, cobbling together workarounds, and wrestling with tools that never quite fit, the frustration hit a tipping point.
Stock would run out at the worst possible time. Purchase orders were a manual headache. Forecasting was guesswork. There had to be a better way.
So we built one.
Inventory Genius started as an internal tool to bring order to the chaos of managing inventory across a busy online store. What began as a solution for our own warehouse quickly grew into something much bigger — a purpose-built platform designed around how e-commerce businesses actually work.
Shopify is brilliant at what it does — building beautiful storefronts, processing payments, and getting your brand in front of customers. But once the order is placed, there's a whole operation behind the scenes that needs to run like clockwork.
That's where Inventory Genius comes in. We handle everything else: the inventory, the forecasting, the purchasing, the bundling, the supplier relationships, the financial visibility. The backend engine that keeps your e-commerce operation running smoothly so you can focus on growing your business.
Inventory Genius is growing into a complete backend operations platform for e-commerce. We're not stopping at inventory.
Our roadmap extends into financial management, product lifecycle management, and deeper operational tooling — everything an e-commerce operator needs to run their business beyond the storefront.
We're building this because we need it too. Every feature we ship gets tested in our own operation first. If it doesn't make the cut for us, it doesn't ship.
We've been where you are. Let's talk.
